About These Terms
These terms apply to your use of this website and to quotes, manufacturing and installation services provided by JCD Aluminium Works (“JCD Aluminium”, “we”, “us”) in Malta & Gozo. By requesting a quote or placing an order with us, you agree to these terms.
Quotes & Estimates
- Quotes are free of charge and carry no obligation.
- A quote becomes binding only after written confirmation and, where applicable, an on-site measurement.
- Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
- Product images on this website are illustrative; final finishes, colours and profiles are confirmed in writing at quotation stage.
Order Confirmation & Payment
- An order is confirmed once you accept the written quotation and pay the deposit stated on it.
- Deposit amount, payment schedule and final balance terms are set out in your individual quotation — they can vary by project size and scope.
- Production begins only after the deposit is received and final measurements are confirmed.
Manufacturing & Installation
- All products are custom made to your confirmed specifications and measurements.
- Lead times are estimates and may vary with material availability or site conditions.
- Installation dates are agreed with you in advance and confirmed before work begins.
- Site access, power and a clear working area for our installation team are your responsibility unless otherwise agreed.
Cancellations & Custom-Made Products
Because our products are manufactured to your specific measurements and specification, they are custom-made goods. Under Maltese and EU consumer law, the standard right to cancel an order within a cooling-off period does not apply once production of a custom-made item has started. Cancellation before production begins may be possible — contact us as early as possible and we'll confirm what's achievable for your order.
Warranty
Our products are covered by a warranty against manufacturing defects, subject to normal use and care. The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidents, unauthorised modifications or lack of maintenance. Full warranty terms are provided with your order confirmation.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Maltese law. Beyond that, our liability is limited to the value of the products and services supplied.
Circumstances Beyond Our Control
We won't be liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control — including material shortages, extreme weather, or restricted site access. We'll let you know as soon as possible if something outside our control affects your project timeline.
