About This Policy
This page explains the cookies and similar technologies used on www.jcdaluminium.com, what each one is for, how long it lasts, and how to change your choice. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy.
Your Choice
On your first visit a banner asks whether you allow analytics. Nothing beyond the strictly necessary items below loads before you choose. You can change your answer at any time with in the footer of every page.
Strictly Necessary
These keep the site working and are always on:
jcd-cookie-consent(stored in your browser, not a cookie) — remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics, until you change it or clear your browser data- Cloudflare Turnstile on the contact and quote forms — checks that a submission comes from a person, not a spam bot. It is needed for the forms to work and is not used to track you.
Analytics (Only If You Accept)
None of the tools below is requested from Google or Microsoft until you choose “Accept”. If you reject, or make no choice, they never load.
Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd) counts visits, shows which pages people find useful and how they reached us, and records when someone taps to call, email or WhatsApp us or sends an enquiry. Cookies:
_ga— tells one visitor from another, lasts 2 years_ga_87BRW517NF— keeps track of your current visit, lasts 2 years
Google keeps the event data for 14 months, then deletes it. Google Analytics does not store IP addresses.
Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation) shows heatmaps and session recordings of how people scroll and click, so we can fix pages that confuse visitors. It is loaded through Google Tag Manager, which sets no cookies of its own. Cookies:
_clck— keeps the same Clarity ID across visits, lasts 1 year_clsk— joins the pages of one visit into a single recording, lasts 1 day- Microsoft may also set cookies on its own domains (clarity.ms, bing.com), such as
MUIDandCLID, lasting up to 1 year
Microsoft keeps session recordings for 30 days and heatmap and summary data for up to 13 months.
Google and Microsoft may process this data in the United States, under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Google Maps on the Contact Page
The Contact page shows our address and an “Open in Google Maps” link in place of a map. The embedded Google Map loads only if you click “Show map” (for that visit) or have accepted analytics. Once it loads, Google may set its own cookies on google.com (such as NID, lasting 6 months) under Google's privacy policy.
How to Change Your Choice
- Use in the footer of any page. If you withdraw, the analytics tools stop straight away and their cookies on our domain are removed.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Clearing site data for www.jcdaluminium.com also clears your choice, so the banner appears again.
- Opt out of Google Analytics on every site with Google's browser add-on.
